Thanx for the welcome and vote of confidence!
I dunno what Steve and Bela think but, unless it creates a conflict with
other things you'd particularly rather be doing (which is possible), I'd like
to cast a vote for the continuation of AVAIL.TXT, at least in the short term.
Availability on some packages still seems to be somewhat regional, and your
file has certainly helped folks in the past to "track" the progress of
software distribution. I think the "last access" counter on the file
indicates its popularity.
On the other hand, as you said, there are other sources now for similar
information, so if your "labor of love" has simply turned into labor, please
don't hesitate to use that time for other pursuits (which likely would
benefit us all here anyway!), and thanks for your efforts when they were
sorely needed!
