I guess I have a unique situation. I want to use aerial photographs as basemaps for heads-up digitizing and plotting in Autocad. I've tested CAD-Overlay GSX and looked at GTX RasterCad but got no satisfaction. Specifically, this is what I need. I. Import tiff images w/o converting to vector. A. Scale images proportionately to match vector reference points. B. Digitize vectors over the image. C. Adjust the image brightness and contrast. D. Treat the image as a 3dface in model space. Essentially, map a tiff image onto a 3dface so that any changes to the scale or rotation of the 3dface would also change the image equally. E. Use paperspace viewports to crop the image and zoom the viewport to a scale without changing the image size. II. Plot, from Paperspace, the image and vector drawing together to the HP650c Designjet. A. Allow control of pen weight and plotted color by vector entity color.
