Jay,
The speed of the chip doesn't matter, as long as you are replacing with
the same or faster speed chip.
The probable reason for the discrepency is that MEMTEST tests word values
(even addresses, two bytes at a time) while MTEST-2 tests bytes. If this is the
case, then the two tests actually reported the same error.
