Selling them at cost would probably be the very best C= could possibly manage, but I have no notion of what prices that would result in. And if their production runs are too limited for that to be practical, it might not be possible. The important thing, though, would be to get software companies in on the act. I don't know whether this is a feasible idea, but if software companies were to provide their software for free to schools, it could even conceivably pay off in future sales, and certainly would lower the real cost of the machine. What we really need of course is some lunatic corporate sponsor to donate A4000s left and right, fully decked out with networking, AdPro or IM R/t, Toasters, and the like. Not to mention FiW and PgS and other productivity-like applications to fill things out. Likely story. But hopefully this question _will_ go into the 20 in some form or other.
