I had a speed problem installing on my 4000, so I had to slow things
down to get it to work. Turn INST. & DATA cache off – use the CPU
command, I think. Also unless the software thinks you have enough
room for the installation it will not include the device name in the
requester. So you may have to delete the old system first before
trying the install — even if you do this you may not have enough
room for the new software to un-archieve. Check the last page of the
introduction section of the manual.
Another thing to look for is a file that the installation is trying
to over-write that may be protected. Of course your #9 may just be a
bad disk! But like I said, try slowing things down first.
