It isn't Paris that is being flooded though Normandy and Brittany, to the east
of Paris, have been unindated with rain. Many homes are completely covered in
water. As for Paris itself we haven't had any problems. No problem for me
though since I'm on the second floor <g>

I'm needing more disk space and backups so I'm looking into alternatives. I
want to be able to transport files to other computers at other locations. I
figure that a 1G external SCSI drive should give me everything I need. Have you
had any experience with these drives and which brands are the best?

How much slower? What is the transfer rate compared to a hard disk? How does
this compare to DAT?

This is a consideration of mine. I just compressed 11 floppy disks of stuff to
move the other day. I need to be able to transport quite a lot of files to
other companies so I want something that is going to be robust and compatible
with the majority of bureaus. SCSI-2 seems to fit the bill.
