The long term deposits theory has a big problem accumulating a mass of
material to produce the deposit. I have done a bit of diving and organic
material doesn't stay on the bottom long enough to accumulate. It is all
eaten and recycled.
The bottom of the ocean is normally clean as a whistle and totally devoid of
any organic material. How do you propose it accumulates in the traditional
view?
