Thanks for your reply; clicking on the output window did the trick, as you
said. I never would have guessed that one.
You also mentioned "Intuition." Don't laugh but I don't know what "Intuition"
is! I looked through all the documentation I have (Intro. to the A. 500;
AmigaDos Manual; AmigaBasic) and there is no mention of it or the commands you
cited. I see reference to "Intuition: The AMIGA User Interface" at the front of
the 1st ref. above. I'm going to look for that. I find it really frustrating
trying to learn the Amiga. Thanks again for your help.
