Hello Curt: If creating shapes from within Corel, be sure to use solid color fills, not outlines, to create your work. Thus, draw the outlines of the desired areas, fill those areas with solid colors (use a different color for each entity that is to have a different material later on). then select everything and delete the outlines so that only trhe fills exist. I don't know how well Corel imports data from AutoCAD. Did you feel the imported shapes from AutoCAD before outputting the AI file? Hope this helps, Nick Josephs Visual Software
