Jack, After further reflection on some of your comments I am beginning to see a little better where you're coming from. I can understand your frustration with the high cost of models. And I was hoping that a tiered system of pricing would be adequate to address that. I must begin charging more for my work though, because right now my business is just treading water, and I won't be able to offer the kind of sophisticated tools I'm capable of making to other 3D artists without greater financial support. I can envision a day when models like mine will be avilable for $25 at Toys R Us, but right now I need much more support than that to do good work. I may be able to work something out with the static models to make them more affordable. I *do* want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to work with them. But I don't want my business to fold up at the same time. So that is why I have found it necessary to devise a new system of pricing. My intention with this plan was to lay the biggest burden on those who could afford it most, making the models available to other users at more modest cost. I did put a lot of thought into this. In my other message to you I had intended merely to address your criticisms. But some of your comments cut me to the quick. Honestly, I've never before had anyone throw things in my face quite the way you did. And I let my emotions do more of the talking than I should have. So I apologize for that. One of the things I'm discovering here in my first month on CIS is that it's difficult to enter into a spirited debate, without someone taking things personally (myself included). I'll have to work on that. However, I wanted you to realize that your comments are not harmless, and *can* have an effect on businesses like mine. I know this probably doesn't help much now that the damage is already done. – Tim
