All such claims would be more detailed (with approximate dates and prices) if we, Developers, had more information about "3DS open architecture" implementation (what IPAS development tools we will be provided with). On the other hand all these claims are not Empty Sounds either: we BELIEVE, that 3DS NT will still support plug-in architecture, it HAS TO HAVE open architecture in order to compete with MicroSoft SoftImage NT (due simulteniously with 3DS NT), which does support plug-ins. As for Video International, we suspected something like that (NT version) to happen, so we write our IPASes using only documented function calls (good practice for everyone) and now our code, becides user interface and memory management is quite portable – we can (perhaps) MATCH Pyros' claim about SGI version of our IPASes, at least for the new ones we will keep this opportunity in mind.
