As I heard it, Both BI and MS (and JPI) made announcements to persue C++,
but just have not set any dates. Or is that what you said?
Why do you prefer Guidelines over Glock.? And I assume you mean the old,
shipping version? Glock. is still in beta and I have not heard much from
Guidelines lately. Also check out Comeau Computing. He will be the first
to ship 2.0 for DOS I beleive.
I found that Guidelines was "plain vanalla" and does not support any PC
stuff like near and far keywords. Glock. supports must everything MSC
does, except for the interrupt keyword.
I'm sure they will generally have good upgrade plans if you buy just before
the new version comes out. That is a must in the PC world, or people would
keep putting off a purchace. Might be a good idea to find out the upgrade
polocy and add that to your criteria when deciding who to go with.
