John(s) If I understand what you are recommending, you are trying to get a small loader that would execute application .EXE programs in a Novell network. The idea is to keep the users from getting at the licensed copies of the real thing; the users would have no privileges to the actual .EXEs but could run the loader. If that is not close to what you are trying to do, then I have misunderstood this thread, and you may ignore what follows. Privileges are granted to users on Novell networks, not to programs. If a user runs a program, the user must have read rights to that program as well as to all files read by that program. A program cannot change its rights beyond those held by the user that ran the program. The loader idea simply does not work. Al Stevens
