Well, first the obvious…
Make sure your cache is enable (internal and external) Local bus
video? Make sure you're in turbo… (No, I'm not trying to insult
you) Once you are absolutely sure that you machine is running as fast
as it can… take a sladgehammer to your harddrive… er just
kidding…. v1.x is going to be slow anyway, but I don't think it's
that slow. Watch for a 2, it's resonable speed wise. Maybe someone
