I don't know where you're located, but around here ( South Florida) if you shop
around, you can find 3DS for about $2100 – $2500 or so.
You might want to consider a DPS Personal Animation Recorder (PAR) Card, unless
you're strictly going to do stills. (About $2500 with drive)
And don't forget to budget for IPAS ( 3D Studio is really a $10,000 program
that they allow you buy $250 at a time after you get the basic package )
