I've seen some modems that, while they pass data at 1200 (or 2400) bps, are not able to accept a command line burst at full rated speed. Are you able to send a dialing string a character at a time, from the keyboard, and not able to autodial from a program's phonebook? Also, what happens with some of the other commands? Does ATH1 or ATA pick up the line? * RR 13042
