They really aren't equal. The Amiga is a far more capable machine, with its
multi-tasking operating system. There is far more serious software available
for the Amiga. The only reason I can see buying the ST is if you're into
music, though the Amiga can handle music just as well with an external Midi
interface. The ST is cheap, and that's about all it has going for it.
