James, You are being silly….if C-A (or any other company) had a building full of 10 people (that could have held 100's) and did NOT shut it down, they would have been irresponsible. Where are you getting the idea that C-A is shutting everything down and waiting until orders come in before they open the facilities up again? That is pure nonsense. Tell me this, is it more economical to run 1 assembly line 5 days a week or is it more economical to run 5 assembly lines 1 day a week? It's called productivity…you have 1 (and that is just an example, I have no idea how many lines C-A has) line that is fully productive or you have 5 lines (and 5 times the cost and 5 times the employees)) that are only 20% productive. The same applies to buildings…is it more economical to have 2 1/2 full buildings or 1 full building? Each building costs the same whether it is empty or full…so it only makes sense to fill up the 1 building and shut the other one down. Also, you seem to be forgetting about the West German facilities. Don
