Bill,
We have this same problem with a local hospital. They spent $15,000 on
an in-house Ventura DTP system, and now have to get their "money's worth"
out of it. That means that they do the entire job in VP, and then sent it
to us as laserwriter pages, which we *completely redo* in QuarkXPress,
fixing *all* of the things you mentioned, then lino it out and print for
them. It's truly bizarre, but it satisfys the beaurocrats… (sp?)
