This reminds me of a story told by Lewis and Clark about a pregnant Indian woman traveled with the exploratory team. At one point, the woman fell behind the group, then 1/2 hour later caught up with a newly delivered baby in hand. In my experience as a father, I've found American Industry to be mostly of the opinion that babies are for women to deal with, it's admirable for fathers to be "concerned", but when is that project you're working on going to be done?
