Don, I've gotten a lot of things straightened out regarding dnet from
a Mr. Polk on usenet. I got a working termcap file and have implemented it.
The remaining problems are:
a) 19,200 baud doesn't work. We have a ROLM CBX setup here. Our phones
have serial ports out the back. It starts off fine. I have to go through a
few steps to connect to the right machine. I press return, type call cunix,
and then have to press return a few more times. However at 19,200 pressing
return just doesn't do anything. I tried sending breaks and that didn't
help either. Lowering the baud rate fixed everything.
b) I am getting C's on my screen after some things using escape codes
happen. For example, in emacs. If I backspace and delete the first
character of a word, a C appears in the space before the cursor. Also when
word-wrap brings a word down, right after that word is a C. Using mm, mail
manager, sometimes when it scrolls a line and redraws the past one it
completely fills it with C's. I have no idea what's happening.
c) Getfiles/putfiles doesn't work. What should be in place that is
probably missing? Thanks,
