Thanks for sharing that. The only problem I had with your message is that
you really should have put it as a new subject. (We're straying a bit too
far, people. It's not all that difficult to create a new subject).
Anyway, seeing stuff like that steams me beyond all end. And it's not
uncommon.
Seems like any yo-yo who can afford a laser printer (or at least PageMaker
or Ventura or XPress) is automatically a "freelance designer". In the
olden days, (ie, before DTPFORUM), Kathleen Tinkel, John Tomeny, Dave
Saunders, myself, and a host of others had a mutual "Letting it all out" on
this topic in the Aldus Forum. I don't know if it solved anything, but it
was therapeutic.
In addition to charging your client, I would also charge the designer/hack
for consultation.
