Mark, Well, besides keeping track of how long a file is open (and who was logged onto the machine when it was open), I guess this "mythical" accounting program should distinguish between the time spent printing and the time spent working on a document. Also, it should probably be sensitive to idle time, time in which no action (such as printing, scrolling, keying, or formatting) is taking place. Regarding printing, it should keep track of which pages have been printed, and how many times each. You should be able to add up all the stats for all files associated with a job (maybe all files in a particular folder), and print reports that give average times per page/file/section/job. <BW>
