You can use '|' on a 4DOS command line, if escaped by a ^X first.
BTW, 4DOS has a new version out. It has SWITCHAR support, and is
selectable with the SETDOS command instead of goofy interrupts. It also
allows a forward slash as a dir seperator in most places. I forget who was
looking for that, but whoever it was, give it another shot.
It also has new "batch-to-memory" ability, which reads a whole batch file
at once instead of opening the file, reading a line, closing the file.
Lots of new goodies!
