More on Morph probs

Chris,
I think I solved the one problem. It seems that in order to have the Project
Options save the number of frames and last frame number, you have to tab out of
the boxes. If you don't tab through the boxes and then out, it doesn't save.
Using enter doesn't work, and just pressing Accept doesn't save it, if you
haven't tabbed. This seems a little awkward to me, and it's not clear from the
instructions. A small thing, but perhaps easy to fix in the next release?
Another thing I found was that I created an anim (by checking the Anim box in
the Project menu) in the Morph screen, and the Anim was saved. However, when I
pulled it into SCALA to work on my script, the Anim didn't come up in the right
resolution. I had created the individual frames in high res, 256 color,
interlaced video overscan, but in SCALA, only the top left quadrant was seen
when I pulled in the Anim. However, when I pulled in an individual frame, I got
the entire image. Then I went back and redid the Anim in ADPro 2.5 by
rebuilding it with the Anim saver with the right resolution on, and this time
SCALA pulled it in showing the entire image. I don't know if this is a Morph
problem (since the Morph program was created before the new Amiga resolutions
were added), or if this is a SCALA problem, but it is going to be a nuisance if
I have to build each Anim by hand. I tried using FRED, but the images for each
of the frames didn't show up, even though it evidently loaded the sequence. I
feel so dumb! I know I must be doing something wrong, and I wish I could take a
class in this with a knowledgable person walking me through this, but I don't
know of any such class!
One other question. My finished Anim is 8642626 bites. I have 30 frames,
starting with a frame that is almost a meg in size, finishing with one that is
about a quarter meg. Once I complete my Anim, and I know I don't need to do any
more work on each individual frame, can I delete the individual frames and just
keep the Anim file? Or does the Anim file need to read the individual 30
frames? I understand the Anim format takes each frame and then saves only the
differences between them to create the animation. If this is so, then it would
seem like I could delete the individual frames once the Anim is built,
otherwise the Anim would be much smaller in size if it was using the individual
frames to run. If I need to keep the individual frames, can I convert them to
JPEG images to save disk space, or would this slow down the animation? The
information about the Anim format and running an animation is a little vague in
this respect, so I was hoping you could help me before I destroy about a day's
worth of work.
Thanks again for all your help. I'm glad you guys are out there!
Regards,
Jeannine
