Angela,
Didn't you Get my Check???? I sent it out the day we talked?
Murph'
This is a great testament for the postal service isn't it <g>
No I did not get your check yet. I am sure it will show up eventually. My mail
has been rediculous since we moved our offices last month. Everything takes
weeks to find it's way to us, even things sent to the new address for some
reason. I assume that this message means you didn't yet get any disks? They
went out the day after we spoke. Let me know if they don't arrive by tomorrow,
I'll email it to you.
Angela
I'd file a formal complaint….considering your a business this is totally
unacceptable…Are you sure that they have you listed as a business???
I know that when we worked out of a Business office complex we got all our mail
daily every Morning.
However working our of my home as a business it come via residential and we
don't see it until the very late afternoons.
It's shouldn't take that many days though.
Murph'
Yea, I know….
I've filed complaints already. They tell me that when you file a change of
address form, in our town, all mail comes here to Gainesville, and then gets
forwarded to Jacksonville before it gets rerouted back here to Gainesville.
Pretty ludicrous isn't it? I feel like the mail guys here are already personal
friends we have this discussion so much. I never realized what a pain it is to
move a business, since we've been in the same spot to so many years before
this….Heck, it took the UPS and Fed Ex guys 2 weeks to figure it out after we
filled out the change of address stuff with them. They kept going to our old
office and leaving notices on deliveries… It was unbelievable…..We'd go up
to the station to pick stuff up they supposedly held for pickup, cause they
couldn't get it together… It would be lost out on the trucks somewhere
anyway. It tool us literally 10 days to chase down a head mount display last
month that we knew was here in town…. It's ""Murphy's Law"" <g> around
here lately. So if your in charge of these things… fix it OK?
Anyway, I know your check is coming and I will see to it that you get your
software today. You can wait on the mail for the license agreement and
stuff…….
Angela
Thanks Angela!
I just got the new NAVFlyer via your special delivery! <BG>
I'll have to unzip it and check it out tommorrow because if I do that tonight
I'll most likley
get Zero Sleep!…<BG>
Keep Up the Good Work Angela!

Angela, I ran in to something rather unusual when trying to load the Win32s
32-bit extensions for windows 3.1 into my Winsows for Workgroup setup.
It seems that PhotoShop must have allready loaded it's own 32-bit
extensions……that's all well and good but the Win32s disks packed with the
CDK2 kit didn't recognize this….the first of two disks loaded and uppacked
and it prompted for the second after a couple of chug's and a "Failure to load
some !%$%%^@W.DLL file file it locked up tight.
Of Course I had to Restore my Win.ini and System.inifiles from backup as well
as re-load PhotoShop 3.0.
Ever run in to this???
Got any ideas?
Did you Get my Check? <g>
Murph'
<<<<<<<"Failure to load some !%$%%^@W.DLL file file it locked up
tight.>>>>>>>>>
This is a new one to me. Glad you had backups! Did you get up and
flying?
Angela
P.S. nope, havn't gotten your check yet, but the disks are in the mail
too…..<gg>
I downloaded your NAVFlyer application and loaded the chevy.3ds file. It was
incredibly slow and the gouraud shading was dithered rather than using solid
colours. Also the lighting was very dark. Is there a way to speed it up and get
solid shading?
I used VIEW_I.PXP(by Gus Grubba et al) in 3DS R3 to view the chevy car(+33K
faces) from chevy.3ds on my 486 DX2 66Mhz and I could rotate the gouraud shaded
car in real-time with really fast feedback. There was only a slight lag in the
rendering time. When I loaded any smaller object I had immediate real-time
smooth feedback. So I know that is possible to get great real-time gouraud
shading performance even from my 486.
I understand that the VIEW.PXP must be using a "fixed" palette consisting of a
gradient for the various light intensities between 0 and 1, but even though you
said that NAVFlyer could do the textures I can't see them since the colours are
dithered(Bayer dithering I think) so much that the colours are muddy.
A suggestion: can you have the program work when using a high or true colour
display? I used true colour in windows for Photoshop et al and don't want to
have to switch to 256 colours, run the video profile each time I want to use
your program.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
