I am trying to find out what motherboars will work well with the PAR and TBC4 cards, as well as the Micropolis 1.7 gig drive. We are looking at putting together a system or buying one complete, but we are not sure about which boards or systems will allow the PAR and TBC4 to fit without heat problems or problems fitting both boards. Could those who have this setup give me some suggestions? Doug Glasgow Georgia Tech GRA

I'm still using a DX2. The motherboard has an opti chipset I've also seen an SIS w/ the same layout. The processor and memory are on one side of the board not blocking any bus slots allowing full length cards in all: This if possible will be the best layout. On pentium pci boards make sure the processor doesn't block any ISA or EISA bus slots. Remember the PAR and TBCIV need to be next to ea. other. I use a fan blowing directly on the PAR drives to keep them cool. I also don't have any board model numbers accessible at the moment. -Scott
