Calcomp 1051 plotter

Have you any info on this older model and how it can be cfg'd for Sun?? Anybody ever use one??It is compatible w/ 906/907/PCI we think, so it might emulate one of Calcomp choices on the cfg menu.Confirm?? And is anyone familiar w/ "Schema" the $500 schematic capture pkg and who makes it (and a phone #??) thanks Randy@avcom

Randy, the CalComp 1051 should work with AutoCAD using the 906/907 driver. When it asks for the model number during configuration, select #5, "User". Number of pens = 4, XON/XOFF = No, and the the remaining settings are non-critical. The CalComp 907 on-board controller requires the following switch settings: S8 = 8 (9600 Baud) S3 – 2,3,4,7 up, 1,5,8 down S4 – 2,4,6,7 up, 1,3,5,8 down S5 – all down S6 – 2,3,5,8 up, 1,4,6,7 down In addition, you may need to make a cable as follows: 1 ———– 1 2 —-\ /—- 2 3 —-/ \—- 3 4 –, ,– 4 5 –' '– 5 6 –, ,– 6 7 –|—–|– 7 8 –| |– 8 20 –' '– 20 11 —-\ /—- 11 12 —-/ \—- 12 Hope this helps. =SM=
