<chortal>… Didn't the TV guide have a blurb of what the episode was about? If it did, and you read it, was there the tell-tale "(repeat)" present? You *did* say you "read" the TV guide, didn't you? <grin> -Jack-

it didnt say "repeat"

Jack, No 'repeat' but instead it says 'return' at the beginning. It looks like a new episode. Don

Don, Wonder what the odds are that Max'll stick around for a bit longer than the last time? Hmmm, if it is a new episode, I wonder if it was taped recently, or back before it was pulled the first time? -Jack-

When MAX was cancelled, there were still three shows "in the can". With the writer's strike on, the networks are scrambling to stretch the season with miscellany until the traditional rerun season. If they can survive spring, they can stretch the strike several months longer. I presume that these are just the three left-over episodes followed by reruns. Note who the sponsors are and write THEM. We already know that the network doesn't care, so let's convince the people who pay the bills. The Max Headroom audience seems to be centered on wealthy youth, one of the nicest groups for an advertiser. ../greg

Jack, I hope it sticks around, and isn't just a 'filler' program to fill out the season. That's one of the few shows I really enjoyed. Don

What's happening to PROBE???????
#120175From: Mike JeskinApr 20, 1988 9:48 AM
From what I understand PROBE only made 6 shows, the last running tomorrow, and was received well and may return in the fall. We will have to wait and see.

Vic, Universal made 8 hours of PROBE: the two hour pilot, and 6 one hour episodes. It did poorly in the ratings against Cosby, there were production problems. I doubt that it will return. Although I wrote the first two hour episodes, I'm not all that upset. For me the show broke some very basic story-telling rules, pretending to be a mystery, then resorting to "science unknown to man" for its solutions. Lee

From what I have heard Probe may be back in the fall, of course I am assuming that you and you fellow WGA will have ended your strike.
