Networking 3DS

Does anyone know where I can find a small Honda generator–cheap. I am
going camping this weekend, and I can't bear to leave R2 at home. It would
be so much easier if Nintendo would come up with the RENDERBOY.
Anyway, I want to set up two systems on a network. Both are 386/33's and
one is set up with a Targa 64+, diaquest, MO drive, etc. My dealer
recommended Lantastic with Ethernet. Does anyone have such a setup? What
kinds of problems should I expect to encounter. Other options?

Sounds like you need a vacation. You don't really need to bring your
computers, do you? Or maybe you're going camping with someone else? Maybe
they'd like to talk to you.
Talk…
Now there is an idea. I might just give it a try.
Jamie's using Lantastic for the rendering farm at Autodesk and, although I
don't know the details, it works great. He's got something like eight
machines hooked up. Five for rendering, and three workstations. For
example, I've watched while five of the machines are rendering different
animation segments while Jamie has 3ds on a sixth machine and AniPro on
another. He'll work on the geometry of a model in 3ds while editing its
texture map in AniPro. However, you _do_ need good casters on your chair,
because there's a lot of rolling between machines. <g>
