#Work Video Help

Help! I need to create a demo tape for my business. I have several video
tapes I need to edit together along with some titling, a mouse pointer or
two, voice over, some music, and perhaps a small animation.
I cannot afford a good Ctrl L deck nor another VCR with flying erase
head so Video Director is out. I could get a moderate Genlok but that won't
solve all my problems.
The Question: I can settle for a "slide-show" type presentaion. Will
DCTV solve my problems. I could go for that. I do have access to a decent
camcorder. I also have a sound digitizer (AMAS) and CanDo, MovieSetter.
Also ARexx, DeluxePaint and several other sexy pieces of software.
Any ideas???
Vic.
I gather that you already have *one* VCR with a flying erase head? If so,
then I don't see what else you really need. You can certainly put together
a slide show program, with no genlock effects (overlays, fancy fades &
wipes, etc) with the equip you have.
You don't need any fancy software to do strait cuts on the video. Just
record your Amiga title, fade to black, <pause VCR> show some video, <pause
VCR> cut in another amiga anim or such, <pause VCR> cut in some video,
etc….
With some VCR's, you could dub over the voice/music after you record the
video. If your's doesn't, then you'll need to play/record the sound at
same time you are recording video. Hey, at least you'll know it's synced!
I don't see how DCTV will solve any problems. It's just your amiga output.
Whether it's DCTV, DPaint, etc makes no difference. You've still gotta cut
between video and the amiga.

If your using a Sony Camcorder ya already have a CNTRL L equipped machine
ya just need a VK 810 cable. If 4096 color files are ok ya might just Want
to use a CBM 520 RF modulator or a VIP unit to output in realtime to tape
