#Obj/Rotate:my poor wrist

Is there ANY way to make object/rotate work on continuous values rather than
"snapping" to the nearest degree? I have to spend an afternoon doing oodles of
little rotation keys and I find that I have to keep using the key info dialog
box on a trial and error basis. I was hoping there was a secret 3ds.set value
or something. (Seems like release 2 did the same thing, but on .25 degree
increments, which would probably work here.)

Noah,
Check out the KBDTRF.ZIP file in the forum libraries. This is a
keyboard entry transformation (for the Editor only, not the Keyframer) and lets
you move and rotate. It creates a copy of your object, leaving the original
intact. Material mapping (except maybe .SXP position) is maintained. Uploaded
by Mark Meier (is that right, Mark?).

Thanks, Kevin, I will download Mark's file. However, my problem is in the
keyframer, so apparently it won't work for me.

Kevin,
Correct you are, mapping is preserved. I'm not sure about the SXP stuff. Good
question, I'll have to check that out…

I'm back…SXP assignments don't go along. I don't know where that info is
stored. Hmmm.
You can rotate in less than 1 degree with the Key Info dialog's controls, and
you can use Mark's PXP to rotate via explicit keyboard input as well. No
hidden 3ds.set values.
