#Bones final mesh save?

Is there a way to save the mesh of the last position of a bones manipulated image? For example, I have a leg that bends and I am using Bones Pro to animate the flexion. Well, I would like to save the leg in the final bent position, but there is no actual mesh, otherwise I would use the SNAPSHOT function in the keyframer. Any ideas? Thanks.

There's an export data function right in Bones, James. Just look at the manual, it does just what you want.

James, See Export on P13 in the Bones Pro manual for how to do that. I haven't actually tried it but I do know it works. DM

Funny you should ask. I put this request on my registration card and three days later I got a call from Dave Avgikos at Digimation!! Wow! Talk about customer service!! As the other replies state, it can be done in the present version. It involves moving to the keyframe of choice, exporting a GEO file, going to the 3DS editor, and using the PXP to apply the GEO data to an undeformed mesh. I haven't tried it either, but I suspect it permanently alters the mesh as opposed to making a copy. Better do a SHIFT+Move in the 3D Editor before trying it on a one-of-a-kind mesh.

I have tried this and it does deform the original mesh as you suspected.
