#ani won't run on pentium

I've attempted to re-install AniPro from a 386 to my Pentium and all I get is
"abnormal program termination, F000" bla bla bla.
The only real difference between the two systems is that the Pentium is using
QEMM's Stealth mode and the 386 is not. On the Pentium, F000 has been remapped
as high ram, and on the 386 F000 is not. So I have to assume that Ani Pro is
not very smart when it comes to memory and bios calls. Is there a work-around
for this. I absolutely have to use Stealth mode on the Pentium, otherwise I
would have very little high ram, and I have several cards that place there own
bios out there and there are a number of tsr's and device drivers that I use.

Not sure why we use emm386 or the like. The only program that
I use that needs it is Deluxe paint. Take it out and use only himem.sys.
I run about 550k but so what? almost any new program should work fine.
btw if you need higher for games and cd-roms, think about a multi startup
sequence and use emm384 only if ya need to.
I am able to use Animator Pro, with the ST:F option for QEMM. I think you may
still get it running if you can experiment with the OPTIMIZE routine.

I made a separate boot option for Ani Pro using himem.sys and emm386.exe. I
never thought about using the st:f parameter for QEMM. All my other boot
options use the st:m parameter. I never shell out of 3dStudio to Ani Pro
anyway, so the different boot option doesn't bother me much. I will however,
play with the st:f option and see what happens. Thanks for the tip!
