Gary, I got your message and tried to move some walls, but couldn't get any result. Can you explain what you meant by co-planarity in this particular situation? Many thanks for your time. Albert

Albert, I'm not sure what you're referring to, but if you're the person who made the file Jonas sent me to look at, I'll be able to comment. If you _are_, then you need to go to the Top view of your model in the Editor and zoom WAY in to the walls. Eventually, you'll be able to see that the walls are actually made of 2 faces (inside and outside) that are about 0.000001 unit apart from each other (that model must've been made in a CAD program, somehow). With rendering software, putting faces on top of each other like that is extremely illegal (they are called coplanar faces). You've got to go back to your CAD program and either made the walls a few inches apart, or just punt the inside wall altogether and make the outside wall out of a 2-sided material.

Thanks, Gary. Yes, I'm the one who sent the file to Jonas. And thanks again, your explanation is perfectly clear. I'm confused at not understanding it at first sight… Experience comes in… Albert

Albert, << Walls.. >> When two objects get too close to one another, let's say .000001 unit apart, their invidual faces could be said to coexist in the same space. If you were to attach all of you objects to a dummy and scale the dummy up by a large amount, the distance between the walls would increase and the renderer would not get confused by the faces.
