to anyone and everyone,
this probably is best answered by applying boyle's 3rd gas law or gary's 2nd
law of texture mapping, but it's still a mystery;
i need to simultaneously morph an object and texture map. the two models have
identical numbers of cv's. one is is the shape of a capital "Z" and i have
simply pulled and pushed its cv's in the shaper, lofted it just like the "Z"
and have applied a different texture map to each of the models.
when i attempt to keyframe the morph, the texture map on the "blob" resembles a
shattered mirror (which is to say that the map is all triangulated. i thought
by selecting "morph materials" this would not be a problem.
does anyone have a solution for this or is this the prime example of not
morphing a texture-mapped object?
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe mapping coordinates morph so when the vertices move, the map
will distort accordingly. (All: jump in if I'm wrong). Sounds like a job for VP

alas, i think you are most probably correct. logic notwithstanding, if you had
a gnat, say, on one triangulated face, and you morphed that triangle to a
different shape, logic would dictate that the gnat would only change shape in
accordance with the surrounding triangles but alack, it doesn't seem to
function this way.
