#MMU and mapped memory?

All, Ok, if you can create a memory mapper for things like ROM ala FASTROM, why cant you create a similar item for moving chipram to warpmemory??? Maybe I am out in the weeds on this idea. What do ya think, for those in the know. Alan Adamson [72370,613] New WarpEngine owner…

Alan, the problem here, as near as I understand it, is that you have to figure out some way to tell the coprocessors that the memory they need to access is out in LA-LA land, not where they expect it. Since they can't address anything outside the memory locations they are hardwired to expect, you are stuck. I suppose you could reprogram the MMU to take care all this, using exceptions and such, but is it worth breaking every program you own? "You do trust me, don't you?
