This one seems to have everyone stumpted. I have installed Animator Studio several times. Everything works fine except for the fact that it won't play anything. When I hit the play button, it just says playing for about a half second and returns to its editing status. It dosn't matter if its AVI or FLC; it dosn't matter if theres sound or not; it wont play!!! This makes using an animation program kind of tough. I have 20 megs of ram with a virtual memory setting of about 60 mgs. WHAT'S WRONG!!!!!! Any help (no matter how crazy) will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Dave Renneker

(there are "play" buttons in several modules) what kind of a system is the program installed on (the more details, the better), do you have another system there to try it on? (believe it or not, we had a solve today which was related to the floppies, not the systems at all). are the avi's you're playing playable with the Windows Media Player? how big is the Windows swap file? -dave

"Everything works fine except for the fact that it won't play anything" Well, we're half way there then! (Sorry Dave.) This could be a function of DOS memory too, in addition to the sleuthing steps mentioned by Dave. I have been able to deliberately get your results by loading a few TSRs to under 300k memory before starting Windows. I believe that your system's resources are low for AAStudio – a combination of Swap File, DOS memory, Windows RAM, free disk space… Could you let us know whether a plain boot (CONFIG.SYS has only DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS Files=40 buffers=20 and no autoexec.bat helps?
