Sorry. The .trm file name is Online!.trm , and it's icon file name is
Online!.trm.info . Have'nt changed the filenames of the things since I first
transferred it to a non-WB disk. Fact is, the thing appears to require either 2
disk drives (with WB in the other drive) , a HD, Fonts assigned to the Online!
disk, or Online! on my boot WB disk. How do you have your copy set up?

I run off a hard drive and run from the CLI…for me, that's much
easier.
Ok…here's the steps to get it to do what you want:
Run OnLine! and you'll get the default terminal set
Load your terminal definition, or set it up and then save it as
OnLine!.trm
That _should_ do it. Also, get rid of the file OnLine!.scp, it's not
needed.
If you want to run it from a CLI, then all you need to do is to type:
run Online! <terminal name without the .trm>
example:
run online! cis

OK. You've answered my question. You need either 2 drives, or run the program
off hard disk. As I've said each time, I use one disk drive. I start
Online!.trm (my custom term file) from workbench, I get a system requestor for
my WB disk. after putting my WB disk, the program comes up. The program enters
it's default, as oppossed to giving a system requestor for the Online! disk,
and continuing by loading my custom file. This occurrs if I start the program
from CLI also. The terminal I get is the same as if I start Online! vs.
Online!.trm. My Online! disk contains Online!.trm.info (the icon I double click
on to start my custom term), Online!.trm (my custom) , Online!.info (pgm icon),
and Online! (the pgm). I generated the .trm file by using the 'archive save'
command to the file Online!.trm , and before I placed all these files on a
non-WB disk, it worked fine. I would double-click on the Online!.trm icon, and
would get my custom terminal every time. Presently, I double-click on
Online!.trm, (or Online!, get the same results either way), at the system
requestor, I insert my WB disk, when the default terminal is up and running
(and all drive activity is finished via green light off), I insert my Online!
disk, and initiate 'archive'. The only archive terminal files indicated as
existing on the disk is Online!.trm. I click this one into the requestor block,
and click get. after all these manipulations, I finally get my custom terminal
up and running. I believe now that it is imposs to get the program to operate
corrctly (in this reguard) without more than one disk drive, or running the WB
from RAM-disk. If you know anyone who is trying to run Online! from one drive,
please let me know so I can find out if they have found a trick. According to
the docs, the only reason Online! accesses the WB disk is to get a cusom font (
which I did place in my WB fonts directory). Perhaps there is an undocumented
way to turn this off????

Ok, with only one drive, and not booting off the OnLine! disk, then you
will have the problems you are having. Try this, I don't know if it will work
or not, but it just might and it's worth the try.
Copy your OnLine!.trm file onto the root directory of your WB disk, the
one you boot with and see if that makes a difference. I don't know the order
that OnLine! reads files, but it may read the font file and then attempt to
read the .trm file. If so, having it in the root directory of the WB disk just
may do the trick.
I've got a couple of other ideas, but I'm not at home now, so can't try
them out. Let me know how the above works and when I get home tonight, I'll
try a few more and see if I can't figure somthing out for you without you
having to do an ASSIGN.

Whoops…you should also assign ONLINE!: to where ever you keep your
scripts. That's whre the program looks for them.
Don't forget the colon in the assign.
