I am using an MNP modem. For some reason, I must manually enter a CR at the end of each command that Whap issues. I have ^M set for the EOL character in the Whap parameters. Any ideas? This is a Supra 2400 Plus modem. Cheers,H Paul (WA1OMM)

Paul: Whap doesn't like my MNP modem either (Applied Engineering DL 2000), even if I disable MNP.

I have used an MNP modem on CIS and with Whap! for two or three years, the Practical Peripherals PM2400SA. I did NOT check the MNP box on Whap!, but had no troubles at all using the modem. Now, I'm using the PPI PM9600SA, with v.42bis, and that works with no problems, too. Betty

Betty: Well, that's curious. Another member (Rob Kummert) left a message recently that he's had the same exact problems with Whap and the AE DL2000 w/ MNP. Roger

Roger, I missed the start of this thread, but I have the supra 2400 plus running with Whap!. I've used it with MNP checked and not checked. Since I only have access to a 2400 bd line I think it makes no never-mind. ('Cmon Betty – don't get on my grammar ;^} ) I now run without the mnp checked since if I brought up BT from Whap! with it checked, BT would try to operate in 9600 bd and thngs would go south quick. Other than that the combination runs flawlessly. BTW, I am running with the modem using factory defaults. wmc
