I didn't catch the original message but it sounds like you have a handle on an
explanation. You can chroma-key in a round about way, using 3ds, then animator
pro, then video post but it involves rendering against specially illuminated
backgrounds in a unique colour and then seperating out shadows etc. Nobody but
me seems lunatic enough to want to do this kind of thing, though <g>.
Actually Martin, what you suggest with Animator-Pro sounds like an interesting
way to do it. Kyle wanted to chromakey on some colors in his rendered image
because he had alot of black in his rendered image which he wanted to stay
black, therefore couldn't use alpha. There are a few of us lunatics around
willing to give it a shot, always pushing the envelope! (APE) As in ya big APE
