Why on earth would you suggest that VD0: wouldnt reboot properly on an
A1000. Vd0: was written on a A1000 back when most people hadnt even heard
of Amigas. I have been using it on my 1000 for about four years.
It is an outstanding product by Perry Kivolowitz of ASDG and has
remained stable throughout the Amigas evolution. If you arent getting much
support from ASDG on it, it is because it was written as shareware and
Perry has never received much money back on it, but he has received an
endless stream of enquiries for support on it. Mostly by people who have
never read the manual.
Why should he support it any more ? He has other products that he has
to support that pay the rent.

Because as I recall it with the A1000, if you had to do an addmem 200000
2fffff when rebooting, it was "good bye, vd0." Of course, its been awhile.
The problem may have been elsewhere. In any event, I have no difficulty
with either of two A2000s if I want to use vd0.
The introduction of the RAD device is probably the main reason PK
doesn't bother supporting vd0. He wrote it before there was much of an
ASDG. That, plus an advanced 2 Meg memory board sort of helped put him on
the map, so to speak. FACC was another of his products that was released
commercially. I purchased it and have been very satisfied. *That* is the
one I wish he would support! I would be more than happy to purchase an
update that permitted its use on a hard drive.
