Hi Ben, There is something I have been trying to do in IM but no luck yet. I have a converted PCX image which doesn't "look right" on my Amiga . A one inch square on the IBM screen is 1" X 1.16" on the Amiga screen. Following your formula in the manual, the aspect ratio on the IBM is 97% (31/32). I tried fiddling with the Set Aspect Ratio and different Render sizing options but I don't think I am using them correctly. Could ya kinda tell me the steps I should follow? Thank You. John

Sure – probably what you need to use is "pad to aspect". That's the key. You have a limited about of screen space available, in which you have to fit an image shape which will not exactly fit, as you've seen. So you'll have to have a blank area either horizontally or vertically. Pad To Aspect will do this for you; check the addendum and play with the function, it definitely can solve this problem. –Ben …via AutoPilot

Ben, I bought ImageMaster Fall 1991 but I never had time to use it. I know this was many revisions ago. Can I return disks for some credit on the latest version or am I too far behind!? Also remember you talking in the past about a new comprehensive manual, is this out? Thanks. David – via Whap!

David, To upgrade a registered user (which I presume you are, even if you've never actually played with it) is $20.00, regardless of version. Call (800) 852 6442 and order the upgrade that way. If you never sent in the registration, do so now, because until we physically get that registration, we can't help you out. Also, a fax or a photocopy will not do; the registrations are specially prepared so that we can't be foxed by photocopies, it has to be the real thing. You won't need to send us disks, either; we'll send them to you. The new manual will be very late summer, early fall, with revision 10.0 –Ben …via AutoPilot

Ben, This is great news (new manual for IM). Will there be any sort of a price break for those of us who purchased the orriginal one? -Homer Flying on Auto

The manual will not be expensive; it will be available to those who are registered only. –Ben …via AutoPilot
