i think you are wrong, Angelo. For what I hear from musicians and other multimedia crazy people, the Turtle Beach board is far beyond the ASP16 with the WaveBlaster. Of course, you only can get your favorite games throught emulation. Take a look to the Multiven forum. Also, MediaVision is designing a new "pret-a-porte" board that could break some concepts about multimedia integration. Ana

>>i think you are wrong, Angelo Ana, I think you must have confused one of the "responses" to my question as a question by me. My question was what was the major differences between the SB16 ASP with the WAVE card and the Turtle beach card that still make the TB card the card to get. I agree that I have gotten a lot of feeling from people that TB is better, but its been very 'qualitative" info. Being an engineer, I'm pretty 'intrackable' about recieving "because I said so" or "it just is" as explainations or reasons. Also, its my impression that the ASP16 w/Wave card is so new, that many people havn't had a good chance to look and compare and therefore are 'defaulting' to the TB board ('if it works don't fix it' kind'a thing). If you have any quantitative points to offer, I would be very appreciative to receive them .. i.e. S/N ratio is XX% better .. or more MIDI channels .. or more digitized sounds .. etc. Thanks for the reply. I don't have the Turtle Beach, only a humble ProAudio Spectrum 16 and a few old blasters. However, I'm only talking about profesional studio people and sound engineers opinions. Since I've to do some work in record studios, I'm always asking about what is the last gadget in town. I've only see ataris and, most of the time, macs. Last months, the Turtles had become very popular in the sound world here. I'm not an expert (only have my piano carrer, and nothing like the real thing <g>) in sound, so I take what other profesionals who works with machines that i'll never understand, say <g> (because I'll never have been interested: only want soundtracks to sound GOOD) Some reading help me to have my conclusions about the card. In the other side, the SBASP16 and the Waveblaster has been arround here for a while… ask to games addicts <g> Ana
