HEEEELLLLP, We have one of the new Dell Pentium 90 Machines, and after installing Studio, and trying to run 3DS VIBCFG it hangs. We then reboot the machine and it says sorrry…Invalid COMMAND.COM. Hmmmmmm The Dell dude came out and re-formatted the HD, we reinstalled it all but with the same problemo. Any known probs on the DELL machine????? Thanx in advance!

I had the same problom with my p-90 running Buslogic pci scsi. I solved the problem by adding the buslogic drivers for my scsi card. could be the virtual memory managemet that trashed the drive. Brandon

Michael, Do you get the problem when you try this in a stripped or "vanilla" environment? That means in your CONFIG.SYS load only the line files=40 and buffers=20, and in your AUTOEXEC.BAT only have the statments Prompt, path and mouse. NO memory managers, device drivers, TSRs video drivers, etc. Doesit still happen in this vanilla configuration? -Brian

Yes it happens when coming up with the boot files CLEAN! I have even tried it with NO config and autoexec…same problem. Hmmmmmm

Hi Michael, It could be something like the controller, something along the lines that Brandon suggested. You've already formatted the hard disk. See what happens if you run 3DS SLAVE <enter> vs 3DS VIBCFG. Different error? What other Adesk (Phar Lap) software runs / does not run on this machine – do you have everything running fine except for 3DS?

…and yes, we hear problems from time to time with the Dell machines. They are usually related to the hardware lock though, and fooling around with the parallel port settings usually takes care of this.
