#Bug Reports?
7 messages in this thread
And another thing…
The files in Autodesk's Animator Studio promise to have a file placed on CIS
that describes the most current bugs in the software.
I've looked here several times and no such file exists.
So, where is it?
Nothing is more aggravating than trying to figure out why your software isn't
working, thinking that maybe you're the one making the mistake, only to later
learn that the software is flawed.
WE NEED BUG REPORTS AND YOU GUYS ARE NOT DELIVERING THEM!!!!

I may have missed the reference you're talking about. I did see the reference
to AASTIPS.ZIP, which is not here (my fault) but that is for tips and tricks
from users. I am surprised to find we've promised a list of bugs posted on
CompuServe – could you tell me where you saw this?
Also, I checked into your order for a B&W Help manual, and I feel as frustrated
as you. I still don't have the complete picture, but it is now on the
RUSH/PRIORITY list. This means that if anything is shipped today, it will
include your order. However, it's complicated by "inventory" and "end of
quarter" shipping. I believe that it will be shipped tomorrow, not today, and
that you will get the order this week. Customer Service was able to confirm
that you had placed an order on 6/30, and then again on 7/24. They were unable
to explain why it wasn't shipped, but they cancelled one of your orders and put
the other on the RUSH list.

Why do you have to complain to get the bug fix you should get it anyway
"Why do you have to complain to get the bug fix you should get it anyway"
should read: "Why do you have to register to get the bug fix you should get
anyway" <grin>
No need to "complain" as far as I'm concerned. You should be sure you report
your bug in a fashion that allows Autodesk to recreate them and report them to
the programmers as bug. If they're fixable, you should get the free update
we've offered. You should register to get it though.
I have registered – I hope, and I am being patient so one day I will get my bug
fix
First of all settle down, Steven.

It's been in the Animator Studio/Pro library for a long time under the name
AASBUG.TXT.

Oh my goodness. Thank you.
I am always amazed at how aggravating it is to try to get software to do
something that you KNOW it can do, but you seem unable to do it.
I think I spent an amazing amount of energy trying to get a simple task
accomplished with Animator Studio and simply couldn't do it.
What then drives you even crazier is to find that it wasn't working right
because of a bug rather than simple stupidity on the part of the user.
Okay.. Okay….. I'll take my Haldol and settle down….:)
