Again… I keep calling and the people on the phones do not have a clue as to how to send out the manual. I've now spoken to several people who answer the phones and no one… NOT A SOUL… has any idea how I can get the update. I registered my software two months ago….. Is anyone out there?

I think there is a problem with the word getting to the people at the phones. I detected a real sense of frustration that they had over problems in communicating what was available and how to get it out to the users. Best of luck in your efforts. A business never seems to run as smoothly as it should.

>> I think there is a problem with the word getting to the people at the phones. << i agree. when i first called in to get my own manual, the person on the other end of phone was not aware of the deal either. Animator Studio could be the most incredible package in the universe… it won't matter if people can't count on something as fundamental as their registration being found. >> I detected a real sense of frustration that they had over problems in communicating what was available and how to get it out to the users. The manual and the updated software have arrived. There is a new "readme" file that is hiding in the player directory that is incredibly helpful. Already this has been a huge help! The hardcopy text is telling me things that I never dreamed were present in the program. It also is making clear to me that a lot of my system "crashes" may actually be that I have grossly underestimated the memory requirements on the hard- drive for a particular file. This program needs a huge amount of hard-disk when you begin to manipulate an animation. The more I am learning about how this thing handles files, the more sense it makes. Thank you for all of your help. So….Why does this code Microsoft RLE files so that they don't work in Vedit? Thanks! Steve

Dave, I'm here looking for the Animator Studio Patch. A friend of mine called customer service (he's the actual owner of the software) and was told that it could be downloaded from here. Is that true? I'm going to have to call him tonight and let him know that I can't find it. But if you could get back to me soon I would appreciate it. He's a big guy and I'de hate to get him mad a me for not finding the patch!! (GULP!) Thank you very much! Sean Platter

Is that true? << nope. it is false. the c1 patch is the entire package (overwrites c0), so it must be ordered. have friend fax 415-507-6123 or mail to: Autodesk, Inc. ATTN: Software Registration 111 McInnis Parkway San Rafael, CA 94903-9846 make sure he includes serial number, registrations, name, company, etc. >> I'm going to have to call him tonight and let him know that I can't find it. dave – I am probably among the many who reading the registration procedure for AS, did NOT mail or fax my card in. If you read the information on how to register it gives you choices of phone, fax or calling it in to an 800 number which is what I did in early June (date upstairs). I do have a copy of the written manual but no C1 yet. Could this be part of the problem? That phone registrations are not getting into the date base. I'll email you my registration number and postal address. Thanks! Anne
