you can't "play" tga files in realtime, since they are typically 700k to
1mb for full screen files per frame – you'd need a 30mb per second
throughput to do it. You can compile them into other formats, like .fli,
.flc, .jpg, .avi etc. Video for Windows, Animator Pro and shareware like
DTA (Dave's Targa Animator?) would do this.
Using GRASP 5.0 you should be able to consolidate your TGAs into a 16 bit
differential animation. The format is similar to FLC but with the important
exception that GRASP DFF files can be played backwards. GO GRASP for more.
