Help… I created a background .gif bit map of an embosed logo as per the tutorial. Useing R4. and filed in 3DS4\Images\SOFA_BKG.GIF (for the time being). When I go Renderer, View, Image… it looks great… dark gray letters embosed on a dark gray background. When I assign it as a background bit map for rendering… and render, it comes out as White letters on a med gray background. Whats going on here??? I can select other images in 3DS4\Images and they appear ok as backgrounds. Help!!!

Marvin, DId you ever get your background problem figured out? It's kind of hard to tell what's going on by your message but it sounds to me like it's most likely a palette problem. When you Render/View Image you're most likely looking at it in 24bit color. When you actually render it in an animation you may be getting 8bit color – if you're rendering a .flc. If that's the case you should be using a Medium Palette setting and not Low (or High). If this still doesn't help you out leave more info. and try and be more specific. DM
