I dbl-click the forth point with the polygon tool the diver just DOES NOT go
away! He just stays there – laughing at me! <<
i checked the c0 version and it does work. <gmake sure that the properties has
all positional toggles off EXCEPT Autoreset. make sure to apply the polygon
tool TWICE after the Autoreset setting has been set. TWICE. all 4 points.

until then but I'll tell ya – it's a good thing I don't have a window in my
office…. <<
learning curves and initial glitches can be frustrating. the product is still
extremely young, as is the learning curve period. let me know if two
applications (with no UNDO) does the trick.

I tried it MUCH more than twice! I really don't think it's a learning curve
problem. I've been using advanced graphics software for the better part of ten
years now.
There HAS to be some kind of conflict.

here's the dilemma i'm faced with, Behymer. i have been training folks on the
use of Clonk Ink for 3 months using c0 and c1… on hundreds of systems. some
required configurations and optimizations, and there were some problems with
Clone Ink… but this wasn't one of them. i'm baffled at this point and will
pass the message on to Nik. 🙂

I completely understand your dilemma. I've been in computer support for quite
a few years and know what it's like to run across a problem that makes no
sense. I just want to make sure that you understand MY dilemma.
I more than appreciate the help you have already given and will look forward to
any more you can provide. Believe me – i don't enjoy buggin you about this….

i do indeed. 🙂 if you haven't received a response by tomorrow from Nik, let me
know.

I will certainly let you know. In the mean time I'm going to try to bypass the
clone ink problem and get on with the program.
Wish me luck!

good luck!

I'm seeing the same problem with the software in a beta version, but I suspect
I'm not supposed to talk about it.

Well, I think you can safely talk about it now! It's out.
Did you ever get a work around?
They sent me mail and told me that this particular excercise in the tutorial is
sensitive to the "source" location of the ink. I believe the suggestion was to
make the initial point "about an inch" below the divers feet. Clearly they are
working at a different resolution than I am (the whole image isn't much more
than an inch), but I'll take the general suggestion and try again.
However, I'm pretty baffled. I've used clone ink on several packages and it
seems pretty straightforward. No idea why the example wouldn't work the first
time.
